Pipeline & Process Valves: FAQs
What is the difference between API 6D and API 6A valves?
API 6A covers wellhead and Christmas tree equipment rated in psi (2,000–20,000 psi). API 6D covers pipeline and piping valves rated in ASME pressure classes (150–2500) used downstream of the wellhead in gathering, transmission and processing.
Are your valves fire-safe?
Soft-seated ball and plug valves are supplied fire-tested to API 607 / ISO 10497 or API 6FA. Certificates are included in the documentation package.
Can you supply low-emission valves?
Yes. Valves can be supplied with fugitive-emission qualification to ISO 15848-1 or API 624 / API 641.
